Privacy Policy

This policy explains how TradeQuote Pro handles website information, app records, iCloud sync data, project photos, signatures, quotes, invoices and support enquiries.

Last updated: 13 June 2026.
TradeQuote Pro is built as a practical construction estimating and project workflow system. App data is used to provide the features chosen by the user. It is not sold, used for third-party advertising or used for tracking.

Who this policy covers

This privacy policy applies to the TradeQuote Pro website, the TradeQuote Pro macOS app and the TradeQuote Pro Mobile companion app for iPhone and iPad.

Contact

For privacy questions, support requests or data requests, contact TradeQuote Pro at tradequotepro@gmail.com.

1. The main principle

TradeQuote Pro stores information because the user chooses to create customers, projects, quotes, tasks, measurements, invoices, site records, photos, signatures, safety paperwork and related construction records. The information is used to operate the software, generate documents, sync selected app records between the user's devices, provide support and meet legal obligations where required.

TradeQuote Pro does not sell user data. TradeQuote Pro does not use app content for advertising, third-party marketing, advertising measurement or cross-app tracking.

2. Information handled by the app

Depending on the features used, TradeQuote Pro may store and process the following types of user-created app data:

Company setup

Business name, telephone number, email address, logo, VAT/tax details, currency, measurement settings, region settings, quote defaults, payment terms and optional bank/payment details entered by the user for invoices and quotes.

Customers and projects

Customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, site addresses, postcodes, project titles, project notes, quote numbers, quote status and related project records.

Quotes, tasks and costs

Task descriptions, materials, labour, travel, markup, VAT/tax values, calculator results, sustainability notes, supplier/manufacturer notes, project totals, invoices, stage invoices, milestones and payment tracking records.

Drawing takeoff

User-imported PDF or image drawings, calibration data, measurements, count items, area/length takeoff records, notepad measurements and pricing items created from drawings.

Variations, site notes and signatures

Variation details, site note text, approval names, approval dates and signature data captured for variation sign-off or project records.

Photos and attachments

Project photos, variation evidence photos, captions, thumbnails, company logos, subcontractor/supplier quote request attachments and files imported or exported by the user.

Safety and paperwork

Risk assessment drafts, method statement drafts, safety controls, work sequences, project paperwork notes and exported PDF documents created by the user.

Settings and diagnostics

App preferences, iCloud sync status, diagnostic messages, local timestamps, deletion markers, basic record identifiers and technical sync information needed to keep records consistent between devices.

3. Local storage and iCloud sync

TradeQuote Pro stores working app data on the user's Mac, iPhone or iPad. On macOS, core records are saved as local app files such as company, customers, projects, tasks, invoices, reminders, method statements, calculator results and related JSON records inside the app's storage area. The app may also store logos, imported files, attachments and generated documents chosen by the user.

Where iCloud storage or iCloud Sync is enabled and available, TradeQuote Pro may sync app records through Apple iCloud and CloudKit so the same user's TradeQuote Pro data can be available on their other signed-in Apple devices. Synced records can include customers, projects, variations, site notes, signatures, payments, stage invoices, quote items, project photos, captions, thumbnails and technical sync metadata.

iCloud and CloudKit are Apple services. Data synced through iCloud is handled by Apple as part of the user's Apple Account and iCloud services. Users can manage iCloud and app data through their device settings and iCloud settings, and can also delete records from within TradeQuote Pro where delete options are provided.

4. Camera, photos and project images

The TradeQuote Pro Mobile app can use the camera or photo library only when the user chooses to take or attach a project photo. Photos may be used for project reference, site evidence, variation records and related project documentation. The app creates resized image files and thumbnails for use inside TradeQuote Pro.

Project photos are not used for advertising or tracking. They are not sold or shared with third-party marketing services. If iCloud Sync is enabled, project photos and thumbnails may sync through Apple iCloud/CloudKit so they can appear in the user's TradeQuote Pro app on other Apple devices.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

TradeQuote Pro uses Apple's App Store and StoreKit for subscriptions, including the monthly subscription and any trial period made available through the App Store. Subscription purchase, billing, cancellation and refund handling are managed by Apple.

TradeQuote Pro may read subscription entitlement status from Apple to decide whether the app should unlock paid features. TradeQuote Pro does not receive or store the user's payment card number, full Apple Account password or full App Store billing details.

6. Documents, export, print, email and backups

TradeQuote Pro allows users to create, preview, print and export documents such as quotes, invoices, risk assessments, method statements, transfer files, backups and training or project paperwork. Exported files may contain the customer, company, site, pricing, task, signature, photo or project details the user has chosen to include.

When a user emails a quote, supplier request or exported document, the message is sent using the user's email app or mail service. The email provider and recipient then handle the information under their own privacy terms. Users should check exported documents before sending them to customers, suppliers, subcontractors or others.

If the user enables automatic backups or chooses an export location, files are saved to the folder or storage location selected by the user. The user is responsible for protecting shared drives, external disks, cloud folders and email attachments they choose to use.

7. Reminders and notifications

TradeQuote Pro may store reminder titles, dates, customer/project links and related reminder information entered by the user. Notifications are used only to remind the user about their own project or business tasks. Reminder content is not used for advertising or tracking.

8. Website, support and free guide requests

The TradeQuote Pro website can be browsed without creating an account. If a user contacts TradeQuote Pro by email or requests the free construction business guide, the information provided may include name, email address, trade/business type, business stage, country/region, Mac use and the message content.

Guide and support requests are used to reply to the user, provide support, send requested information and improve TradeQuote Pro's documentation and training materials. Users should not send confidential customer, financial or project information by email unless they are comfortable with email handling.

9. Cookies and local website storage

The website uses essential local browser storage to remember cookie choices, support the menu and unlock the free guide after the user submits a request. The current website does not intentionally use advertising pixels, third-party tracking cookies or analytics cookies.

If optional third-party content or analytics are added in future, this policy and the cookie controls should be updated before those services are used.

10. When information may be shared

TradeQuote Pro may share information only where needed for the following purposes:

  • With Apple where required for App Store subscriptions, iCloud, CloudKit, TestFlight, App Store review, crash or platform services.
  • With the user's chosen recipients when the user exports, emails, prints, shares or backs up documents.
  • With service providers used to host the website, email support or deliver requested support.
  • Where required by law, regulation, court order, fraud prevention, security protection or to protect TradeQuote Pro's legal rights.

TradeQuote Pro does not sell personal information and does not share app content with advertising networks or data brokers.

11. App Store privacy summary

For App Store privacy purposes, TradeQuote Pro app content is primarily used for App Functionality. Depending on the user's choices, data such as contact information, customer/project records, photos or other user content may be linked to the user because it belongs to that user's app records, iCloud account, subscription access or support request.

TradeQuote Pro does not use app data for third-party advertising, developer advertising, advertising measurement or tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies.

12. Retention, deletion and user control

App records are kept for as long as the user keeps them in TradeQuote Pro, in local backups, in exported files or in iCloud. Users can delete customers, projects, tasks, variations, photos, site notes and other records inside the app where those features provide delete controls.

Deleting an app record may remove it from the active app data, but copies may still exist in user-created backups, exported PDFs, emailed files, recipient inboxes, device backups, iCloud history or other storage locations controlled by the user or their service providers.

For privacy or data requests, contact tradequotepro@gmail.com. TradeQuote Pro may need enough information to identify the request and may ask for confirmation before deleting or changing records.

13. Security

TradeQuote Pro uses Apple's platform security features such as app sandboxing, user-selected file permissions, iCloud/CloudKit services and App Store purchase systems. Users should protect their devices with passcodes, keep Apple ID/iCloud credentials secure, update macOS/iOS/iPadOS, and take care when exporting or emailing customer and project documents.

No software, cloud service, email system or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. TradeQuote Pro aims to limit data use to what is needed for the app and support services.

14. Children's privacy

TradeQuote Pro is business and construction estimating software. It is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or tracking.

15. International users and legal rights

Users may have privacy rights depending on where they live, including rights to ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal information. TradeQuote Pro will respond to reasonable privacy requests in line with applicable law.

Where users are located outside the United Kingdom, app store, iCloud, email, hosting and support services may process information in other countries according to their own terms and safeguards.

16. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when TradeQuote Pro changes its app features, website features, iCloud sync behaviour, support processes or legal requirements. The updated date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last changed.
